What is the I Ching (Yi Jing)?
The I Ching, or Book of Changes, is one of China's oldest classics. Through 64 hexagrams — six lines that are either solid (yang) or broken (yin) — it serves as a mirror for reflecting on a situation and making decisions.
How to read the result
- Each line is born from a three-coin toss; the majority decides a yang (—) or yin (--) line.
- An "old" line (all three the same) becomes a changing line and forms the Resulting Hexagram.
- Primary Hexagram = the present state; Resulting Hexagram = the direction or conclusion.
- This reading is for personal reflection only — not financial, medical, or legal advice.
