Knowing a site's stack tells you what is actually possible for it lah. A WordPress site running Yoast has different sitemap and meta-tag behaviour from one running Rank Math. How confidence is graded

Every match got real evidence behind it, never a guess. A technology is marked Confirmed when two or more independent signals agree (for example, a script path AND a matching HTTP header). Why check homepage only?

One fetch keeps the tool fast, predictable, and light on the target server, and the homepage almost always represents the whole site's stack — same CMS, theme, plugins and CDN serve every page one. If a site genuinely mixes stacks (an old blog on WordPress next to a headless storefront), run this tool separately on each URL.

Can a site hide its technology stack from this tool?

Can — removing generator meta tags, renaming default asset paths and stripping identifying headers all reduce or remove what this tool can see. That is good hardening practice anyway: same move also denies the same fingerprinting to anyone scouting the site for known vulnerabilities in a specific CMS or plugin version.

Why some results say "Likely" and not "Confirmed"?

Confirmed means two or more independent signals agree — for example a script path and a matching cookie. Likely means only one signal fired. Both are real matches, not guesses; Likely results just rest on one piece of evidence instead of two, so treat as strong hint, not certainty can already.
