What this checks, and how to fix common mistakes
Each URL is scored on real, documented SEO guidance: HTTPS over HTTP, a reasonable total length, lowercase paths (Unix servers are case-sensitive, so /Page and /page can be indexed as two different, duplicate pages), hyphens instead of underscores as word separators (Google treats a hyphen as a space but an underscore as a joiner), valid percent-encoding, and no raw spaces or doubled slashes.
Query strings are checked for session identifiers (sid, PHPSESSID, JSESSIONID and similar) — these generate an unlimited number of duplicate URLs for the same page and waste crawl budget, so they belong in a cookie, not the URL. Tracking parameters (utm_*, gclid, fbclid) are flagged too; a self-referencing canonical tag on the clean URL keeps them from being indexed as separate pages.
Slugs are checked for being mostly filler words, for repeating the same keyword three or more times (which reads as keyword stuffing to search engines), for being a bare numeric ID with no descriptive words, and for excessive path depth — pages buried more than 4-5 folders deep get less crawl priority and pass along less link equity.
Beyond individual URLs, the tool compares the whole list: mixed HTTP/HTTPS, mixed www/non-www hosts, inconsistent trailing slashes, and URLs that are exact or near-duplicates (same page, different case or trailing slash) — all classic causes of avoidable duplicate-content and crawl-budget problems that a 301 redirect or a canonical tag can resolve.
