Pungsu Calculator (풍수지리 · land geomancy)

The Korean reading of a site — not the eight-direction shortcut. Your 좌향 (sitting-facing axis) is placed on the 24-mountain ring of the 나경 (geomantic compass), weighed against your 본명궁 (natal trigram) with the 팔택 (Eight Mansions) stars, then checked against the 삼살방 (Three Killings), 대장군방 (Great General) and 손 없는 날 (a day free of roaming spirits) for the date you plan to break ground.

Sets your 본명궁 (natal trigram). The year turns at 입춘 (start of spring), not 1 January — a birth in early February often belongs to the previous year.

본명궁 (natal trigram) is counted differently for men and women — this is the tradition's own rule, not a judgement.

Stand at the centre with your back to the hill or rear wall. That bearing is the 좌 (sitting direction); the 향 (facing direction) opposite it is filled in for you.

The main gate, front door, or the mouth of the grave.

A stream, a river, the road that carries traffic toward you, or the lowest ground in view.

Checked against that year's 삼살방 (Three Killings) / 대장군방 (Great General) and the 손 없는 날 (a day free of roaming spirits) cycle.
